The Senate Republican Caucus is pleased to inform you that your Republican led legislature maintains an (ongoing) balanced budget. In balancing the state budget, we recognize this process is inevitably a tug-
of-war among competing interests for a scarce resource: taxpayer money. The taxpayers of Idaho can be sure that our priority is to spend dollars received wisely.
Good government is in many ways the art of meeting (seemingly) infinite needs with limited resources. Our duty as good stewards of the funds entrusted to us by the citizens is to ensure that the money spent is having the desired outcome. Also, we recognize that “state” money is really “taxpayer” money, and as such your Senate Republican Caucus is committed to a tax system that ensures all businesses and individuals in Idaho are treated fairly.
